plunger switch
Is it possible to replace my kwikee step magnetic door switch with a plunger switch?If so how would i go about it?

The magnetic reed is a way better swtich in my opinion but the answer to your question is yes.. AND.. I can think of a good reason.
First, you need to know if the switch is normall open, or normally closed,,, Kwikee uses both types depending on the age and shape of the controller.. Sorry, been long enough I forget which is which but you can look it up on the Kwikee web site as I did.
Then you need to mount it..
NOW> You also need to find the switch.. The one I use to sense STEPS IN... Wont work for you.
Some of the products made by Microswitch might do the job, though the ones I'm thinking of are not exactly plunger switches.... But they work in a similar manner (Press to activate) and many of them are SPDT so you can hook it up one way and if it works backwords, move one wire and you good.
