There is no rivets to be found.The magnet is the black round one and it just inserts into a hole in the lower part of the door.I dont know much about the switch except for what i have read and as far as i can understand the magnet has to line up with the switch as it does but it jams against the switch.When i go to open the door i have to force the bottom part of it out where it is stuck.
