Portable battery charger. What do you carry?

I've had many over the years but most are cheap and don't last long. I'm looking for a good portable 12 volt Smart charger that can desulfate and get my batteries to full charge if needed.

What do you carry in your RV tool box?

I have probably tried to use mine (just like yours) perhaps a total of 10 hours total. The cooling fan quit almost immediately. Bought a new fan off of EBay and it also quit almost immediately. I now hook it up and put an external fan right next to it to keep it cool. Wish it did work for me but it was a bad choice for me.
  • No, I do (did) the whole bank starting with 130amps. That is the most the Honda 3000 can do before popping its breaker with these non-PF corrected chargers. As the bank charges up the lower voltage chargers (the three older model Vectors at 14.6v) drop out leaving the 14.8v newer model still going at 40a, then it tapers to the end.

Now I have a 100a PowerMax converter rigged up as a portable charger so it is like a 100a Vector! Wheee! So now I only use that instead of dragging out more chargers. Getting lazy.
  • Whats the story there BFL? Are you doing each battery individually?
