I have a Ctek 7000US. It bulk charges at 14.4V in regular mode, 14.7V at 7 ah if you set it on "Cold temp" snowflake setting. I never managed to get a reading on "reconditioning" mode on mine. It will recharge at 16V 1.5 AH for 4 hours, supposedly, in reconditioning mode. I think that 1.5AH is a little low for recondtioning amperage for the batteries I use
Fastest $100 I ever wasted on a battery charger... won't be doing that again, it was before I knew better, circa 2006 or 2007.
A little light for more than a single battery. How many did you have?
One group 49 VW TDI diesel sedan battery, in either a Passat or a Jetta diesel. Don't remember the specs off hand, but diesel batteries usually are pretty heavy on cold cranking amps, due to the added compression ratio of 17 or 18:1, vs a gasoline motor. DMM confirmed my old Sears manual 6 amp charger that would do 16.0V did a better job at top charging. No problem to see 12.75V with the manual Sears charger after an overnight charge session 1x a year or so.
