Unfortunately many RV's have plugs that don't have proper electric boxes behind them, so retro fitting is a bit more of a challenge. It is definitely worth doing.

This is something you can do yourself, just make sure to disconnect all electrical power and keep the wires to the same terminals on the new outlet as the original ones.
