Yep, that too. I've seen plenty lying face down. And don't forget the human factor of forgetting to turn them.
On a sunny couple of days in May at 49.2N with my 130w panel I had then I ran tests for that. Daily AH haul:
Flat-56AH
Tilted to the South- 70AH
In tilted aimed contraption- 90AH
Not so minor. Reports on here that in Arizona in winter it is much the same. Arizona in summer, tilting would not make so much difference, but then you would be in hospital with heat stroke anyway! :)
