50', 12g, 6A yields a voltage drop of almost 1v

With high Vmp of 20v, 1v would not be too bad, with MPPT it would represent 1/40 (2*Vmp) *100 or 2.5% loss of power.

IIRC Vmp doesn't drop as fast when sun heated with flex panels as mono/poly.
