Full shade will draw any system down to almost nothing. I don't know.. buying solar when most of your camping is in the shade seems counterproductive.
I don't recall any sparking when setting up my 835w - but when connecting the inverter.. wow. Big spark.
I don't fuse anything. The controller doesn't put out much heat. Heat is usually caused by inadequate wiring.
