I got myself separate potable water and rinse hoses. And I got extra gaskets, because I know they wear out and/or go on vacation. Then I noticed that the only gaskets I could find are labeled as not being for potable water. Where can I find gaskets suitable for potable water? I'm pretty sure I got them before, but now I can't find them. Or do I ignore the lawyer verbiage and just use what I've got?

Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, Meynards, any hardware or garden supply store.

That must be my problem that I am not getting the correct gaskets. I have noticed that I am getting older, fatter and hair is thinning so it must be the gaskets.

Get an appropriately sized black rubber O ring. They work just as well as a flat gasket, and they're potable water approved.

They were out in force. Amazing how much money people will pay to dress their kids. DIL bought 1,080 pieces of candy and it was gone 15 minutes before curfew. Dead in street and people bring their kids in vans from all over. It is THE place to go.

I've drank water out of the garden hose for all my life. Hasn't killed me yet. I think there are more important health issues to be concerned with than which gasket you use at the end of a water hose...

I will use any type. I am not aware of any issues to my health.

I use potable water hoses on my rig but I see all kinds of hoses hooked up at camp grounds and the residents have not turned into Zombies.

The hose washer has such a minimal contact area with the water, I don't concern my self with it.

Hmmm... I've not seen gaskets rated for potable water or not. I always just get a gasket set that is NOT the cheapest! Always at least the next level up from cheapest.

I'll look closer next time!
