Power awning seems to be slowing on extending/retracting

Retracted the awning just a few minutes ago, seems it is slowing upon retracting. Have not noticed before, but seemed to be 'working harder' as well. Is there any kind of lubrication protocol to fol...

My Dometic electric awning says to dry-lube the joints every once and a while. I was a wax based teflon spray lube (Dupont I think from Lowes). similar to a chain lube used by motorcyclists.
