If all depends, but most likely not. After all your work, the end result may not be much better than what you got. And that's usually a major problem with all the people wanting to improve on their converter. They don't know where they're coming from, and after the swap, they don't know where they're at.
Often enough, the converter cable to battery will throttle charging current. How long is the cable? What's the diameter of the copper?
Since you like boondocking, I presume you want a converter that uses a minimum gen time. I that's the case, the PD is not your ideal converter. I would go with the 30A Iota and possibly heavier charging cables. Also, think about a little solar.
If you feel ambitious, get yourself a 100A panel meter and take measurements before and after your mod.
