Wanted to add to this thread, it's got good info. Have a question:
I currently have a Magnatec 6300 series (25 amp) converter in my camper. One battery, the batter is at the rear left side of a 9.5 foot camper. Quite a bit of wire to get back to the converter.
I plug in before I leave on a trip, never have shore power while camping. Recharge with a Champion 1500 watt generator (I plan on a Honda 100w and solar next year).
I have a Intellipower PD4645 I pulled out of my old camper. Question is, when does it pull 45 amps? Besides the wire warming up possibly, would there be any problem not upgrading the wiring?
