Normally I would agree with that but he has a Magnetek 6300. On the 6300 you have two independent systems when plugged into shore power
One is the converter, which directly powers most 12 volt loads including Lights, and Water pump and such (All the non-critical of the quality of power systems) with rectified AC (Which is not clean power) on the 6345 this is a 30-45 amp system. (I think 30)
The other system is the battery system. This one is the remaining 15 amps it has a slow charger (not very many amps) and it powers things like the radio which is very senistive to dirty power.
So plugged in the 12 volt system is a 120 volt converted system, NOT connected to the battery at all.
Part of the reason I strongly recommend an UPGRADE for the Magnetek systems.
