I didn't spend much- I found a " scratch and dent" brand new one on eBay for $40 including shipping. I never did find a dent, I think it was just a open box item. And I couldn't go wrong for the price. But the upgrade is on the list- as funds allow.:)

Just a quick update-- I replaced the main breaker. Everything is working great now. Thanks everyone for the advice. Now back to finish installing the new floor!

35 or 45 amp should be fine.

So it has been suggested to upgrade my 6300 series a couple times. What would I upgrade it to?

Normally I would agree with that but he has a Magnetek 6300. On the 6300 you have two independent systems when plugged into shore power

One is the converter, which directly powers most 12 volt loads including Lights, and Water pump and such (All the non-critical of the quality of power systems) with rectified AC (Which is not clean power) on the 6345 this is a 30-45 amp system. (I think 30)

The other system is the battery system. This one is the remaining 15 amps it has a slow charger (not very many amps) and it powers things like the radio which is very senistive to dirty power.

So plugged in the 12 volt system is a 120 volt converted system, NOT connected to the battery at all.

Part of the reason I strongly recommend an UPGRADE for the Magnetek systems.

I will try to get some pics tommorow. I work third so I have been doing much of this work in the evening under flashlight.

How about some pics of the burned components?

Thanks for some of the ideas. I did go ahead and order new breakers(my local electrical store didn't stock them!!). So I will go thru all my connections when they come in. I did see tonight while looking around that my positive battery cable was unhooked. Could this cause a problem?
