Should you trust a circuit breaker or connection that has glowed with heat. PERIOD!
Metals ANNEAL, coatings oxidize and high resistance is the result. This is a death wish if you decide to keep using the parts that have become incandescent.
If the rig were mine or a customer's, OUT go the breaker BOX, or the strip with the breaker tang connections get replaced and so does the breaker. The parts that glowed and what they touched get replaced.
