This is helpful @douggrainer! . Is it worth it to reach out to American coach about this issue or is it only a Midwest issue and I have no warranty with them so will just have to deal with this myself? Is this an issue you have head of occurring with this model? Weird that it is so new and already having an issue. do you think I have an inverter issue? I will ask my RV tech…I think he said I do have 120 volts from the generator but will verify.

1. You have NO warranty from Midwest. Midwest warranty is to first owner ONLY. You do have Mercedes warranty on the chassis if under the 3 years. The Mercedes warranty is 36/36. Powertrain goes to 100k. Your problem is a Midwest installed appliance problem
2. The genset has NO charger
3. The Inverter/Charger IS the charger and when 120 volts is supplied from the Genset, SHOULD charge the Coach batteries. If NOT and you do have 120 volts TO the Inverter/Charger(you need to verify this) then the charger section of the Inverter/Charger is bad and either fix or replace the Inverter/Charger. Usually cheaper to replace the Inverter/Charger. Doug(Midwest Dealer Technician)
