Just to be clear, don't twiddle the PowerMax's internal voltage pot (a tiny blue box with a white screw) or it will affect all the voltages and it won't do the stages any more.
I have the PM3-100 with that internal voltage pot and set the voltage to 14.8 on purpose, since I don't need the stages for my charging with it. Now it raises the battery to 14.7/8 staying at 100amps and then voltage stays at that 14.8 while amps then taper. This is what I wanted.
