I leave them disconnected 24/7 for 2-3 weeks at a time during the summer whenever daytime temps are running above about 85 degrees.
This does not cause AGM batteries to become discharged enough to create sulphation since AGM battery intrinsic rest voltage holds up so well. IMHO, this is the best reason for using AGM batteries. The next best reason to use them, IMHO, is because they absorb charge faster at any applied terminal voltage due to their very low internal resistance ... that's why I can get away with using the same float and bulk voltage ... ~13.8 volts from a stock converter.
