With no load your battery should be 12.7+ at sunrise. Much less and it may not be at full charge as the sun when down.
It's purpose is a maintainer. Was just wondering. I had heard that some would backfeed. I had company last night and the pup & I camped out. With using lights and having heat all night the GC2's were @ the same Voltage this morning as they were yesterday. I am impressed.
