They mention nothing in the spec sheet about it being an inverter type. It does say max rpm is 3600. So I'd say it's a heavier, louder and more expensive version of my Champion 3500/4000 that runs fine at 10,000 ft even if it has a carb.
The specs indeed don't mention that it's an inverter generator (which is a rather odd omission), but the PDF brochure indicates that it is. "Powerhouse inverter technology delivers clean, clear power that won’t damage sensitive electronics like laptops, flat screen TV’s and game consoles."
I wonder if you can start it with the recoil starter when the generator's battery is dead, or if you need some power for the EFI system to work. If you need the battery, the manual pull starter seems to me to be somewhat superfluous.
