Those Go-Power kits are way over the top for price. So are other brand "kits" but my goodness! :(
You can get 100w panels for $120 and a controller for $20 so you could have a 200w kit "made" yourself for $260 plus a bit for some wire.
I use ordinary jumper cables for my portable's wiring. Too easy.
Yes, I put the portable on the roof if there is a theft threat in the location. Problem arises where your rig is under trees and you need to set the panels out in the open though.
