I used a cable lock alarm for years. I just tried to post a URL, but it is not working.
Google search Cable Lock Alarm. Look for the 50 foot version. If cut, it will sound a very loud alarm. It runs on a 9 volt battery.
(I searched for the 50 foot version and had no luck, but they do make one.)
(I never had my 185 watt panel stolen or disturbed. I am still a big proponent of portable solar use. I always like to park my rig in the shade, so permanent mounting was not going to work.)
