If the PD has adequate wiring to the battery then you can connect to it's wires. It may/may not be adequate. For solar you want to get all possible power before the next cloud drifts by. But RV mfg are less concerned about that because you plug in 24/7 so smaller wire can save $.
Besides aren't you planning on new batteries under the rig and hence new wiring anyway?
Find the wire size from the PD to batteries, wire length and run the wire calculator.
Ideally keep the loss from the panels to the battery under 3 percent.
