Besides aren't you planning on new batteries under the rig and hence new wiring anyway?
Find the wire size from the PD to batteries, wire length and run the wire calculator.
Ideally keep the loss from the panels to the battery under 3 percent.
Ca,
The OEM wire size from the PD9260 covertor/charge is size #10,
the run length is about 20-21', and using the calculator I posted, I came up with a wire loss of 16.67%. (If I figured it out right).
I know from actual use in the last 4+ yrs, it seems to take forever to charge the 2-90 amp battery's back to full,
according to the OEM Idiot lite indicator panel.
Yes, I plan on having 4-6v-200a battery's underneath the TH, for the solar install.
WE,
Thanks for that info on JM site/info etc,
I am reading everything several times, for better knowlege.
You are correct about the funds/time etc,
and I do want the most reliable/safe solar system,
while keeping as kiss, if possible.
Can you provide site/info for making these buss boxes?
The one's I seen (on line) were over a $100 or more, but I am not sure, I was looking at the same thing as you are talking about etc.
Tia,
Don
