You are probably right, there is #10 sized wire running to the 2-09w tongue battery's, at 21+ run length.
When I get the TH in the shop and drop the underneath corroplast panels down to see how everything is routed, ALL wiring will be changed to a larger size to reduce the wire loss to less than 1-2%, when all the new equipment to added to the TH.
The big concern is that I DO NOT know all the fine points like you guys know.
I would hate to buy expensive equipment only to find out that this or that piece of equipment will not run/work with what ever other piece of equipment etc.
Or the 440a battery setup is TOO much for whatever OTHER piece of equipment in this solar/inverter/charger setup etc or come back to camp and fine a burnt pile of TH etc.
That would SUCK........
I had planned on the solar setup, 920w & 440a of battery storeage to run the Micro Wave/coffee maker only, and only use the 4000w gen set IF NEEDED, for the storm/bad weather days, when the solar is not able to provide what is required for nightly use etc.
There is NO auto gen set start, manual start only.
I am planning on using the Buss bar/box set up that WE showed the pictures of, IMHO, this would be the best way for me to go since I have little to no experience along these lines etc, and would make the easiest method.
I am taking small steps at a time, If I don't know the answers, the only way to find info is to ask questions, Correct.
Don't get me wrong,
You guys have provided lots of reliable/useful information,
which I greatly appreciate.
But feel at times that when you guys reply to questions, that the OP should know what information is being relayed, which NOT always the case. :@
Reason for the dumb questions......
