Progressive Dynamics converter and AGM batteries

Getting real confused here. This is what I was looking at Duracell Ultra Platinum Deep Cell Group 27 AGM
Says it's deep cell. I've never seen my 55 amp converter charger ever go beyond 35 amps and that was when I was down 50%. So I am really wondering if and how it could really save me hours running the generator or if the solar will charging will be more efficient with the AGM.
