In either case, the voltage drop is basically negligible. At 60A, 6 feet (total wire length) of 2 gauge will have a voltage drop of about 0.07V, and 4 gauge will have a voltage drop of 0.11V. At lower currents, the voltage drop will be correspondingly lower. This works out to something like three-quarters of one percent of your power consumed by wiring loss in the worst case with 4 gauge wire.
