Put it down low, near the floor and not in "eye site" front and center. It will serve as a good night night. I don't have one, but I find it VERY annoying to have lights and numbers flashing at me all the time. Some LED lights are just impossible to turn off unless you unplug the device completely. But, positioned well, they do make great night lights!
As my motto is for all "gadgets" used for camping, if the "gadget" serves multiple purposes, it's worth having around. Nightlight and EMS display, that's a good multi-task device.
