They didn't just change the warranty, they changed it in preparation for a reduction in build quality.
As soon as they're sold out of current inventory they'll start selling the new lower end hardware.
At least my suspicion.
I want no part of that action. I have seen it happen too many times.
I am extremely satisfied however with the performance of my current hardwired 30 amp EMS, as well as the other two I have owned and ones I have installed for others in the past. Have not had any issues with any.

It is an impossible requirement.:B
Beat me to it.
Muhahahahahaha.
There are good techs out there but they're few and far between. They state "must be installed and maintained by a qualified RV dealer" LOL.
I wonder how they come to what constitutes that. A local small mom and pop dealer near me has two of the most competent techs I have ever seen when it comes to RV's. That being said they have no specific certifications such as RVIA-RVDA. They do have about 25+ years experience each. I suppose they're not qualified? The supposedly certified and trained hacks at the large dealer where we purchased our 17 Rockwood are lucky if they can competently do a PDI or tighten a screw. I could only imagine those bozo's installing one of these EMS units even though its about as simple of a thing you can do. They would certainly booger up a lot of stuff in the process.
I have done RV repair and maintenance, including installing lots of these EMS units, on a limited part time basis for the last 12 years. I'm also a trained electrician, carpenter, and have managed some big commercial and industrial projects along the way. Nope, I'm not qualified I guess.
How about a registered and licensed electrician? Probably not qualified either LOL.
