Electrically the portable and hard wire Progressive EMS units work the same and
do have a trim pot, as pictured here in my hard wire EMS-HW30C.
However, contrary to what has been stated only the hard wire versions are considered "field serviceable", portable versions are not and should
not be opened by the owner, at the risk of voiding the warranty. If an owner is unhappy with the portable version for any reason it should be returned to Progressive for repair, adjustment, or full replacement.
