- Dave_H_MExplorer III checked your profile to see how old your rig was but it is not posted. lets start with how old the alarm is.
- If it is more than five years old consider replacing it. Good time to also review your CO and smoke detectors.
Handheld combustible gas detectors are now fairly low cost if you need to start hunting for a leak. - MEXICOWANDERERExplorer

Is it beep,,,, long pause.. Beep
Beep, Beep Beep (short pause)
or BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP
First one is low-bat/systems error
Other two (depending on the make and model) ALARM
Isn't it "BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP....followed by screaming EXPLETIVES threats hurled, hair standing on end, and racing heartbeat? - JanssExplorer IIMine started beeping every now and then. It was my 12V battery going bad (not just low). I guess the scent or gas it gives off makes the alarm sound, because propane alarms will react to a few other things, as per my manual.
- 2oldmanExplorer IIWell, I disconnected mine. Either that or get one that doesn't do that.

Propane alarms will sometimes go off when the rig's 12V battery gets low. Make sure your battery is in good shape.
Propane alarms are meant to be replaced every few years. If you look closely at it, you might see an expiration date.
