"..... The sticker says 8/17. The original mfg date is 9/04. I just purchased 2 trade in tanks in September. One good til 4/20, the other good til 8/22. The "no good" one was one of them."
What sticker says 8/17?
Original mfg date is 9/04----propane cylinders have a 12 yr rectification requirement (9/04 + 12 = 9/16) 'Visual Inspection Recert' is good for 5 yrs.
(9/16 + 5 = 9/21)
Trade in 'cylinders' ---one good til 4/20 & one good til 8/22.
No good cylinder one of those.
Dates are just not making sense :H
AS for that messed up 'bleed valve'----stop buy a PROPANE DEALER (Bulk) with that cylinder and ask about a new 'Liquid Level Stem & Seal Assembly'
