Yes. Most grills are. The distance between the container and the flame have nothing to do with the operating pressure of the grill. If you can not remove the regulator from your grill then you'll need to provide it with container pressure (unregulated) or high enough regulated pressure so as the existing regulator provides ample propane to the burner(s).
If you can remove the regulator then you can use your regulated low pressure quick disconnect and parts from
