Stainless propane hoses
Has anyone used stainless propane hoses to connect tanks to changeover valve ? Did they get hard as a rock like rubber hoses or did they stay reasonably soft and pliable ?

And I doubt they dabble in hydraulic hoses.

I read the entire thread before I shovel on the sarcasm....
"Some would have you believe the hype, that there is something special about hose that carries propane. Years ago I ran propane thru a garden hose for 2 + yrs, no ill effects to the hose whatsoever. Since that time, I have used nothing but automotive fuel injection hose to plumb everything on the low pressure side in my RVs,.....cat heaters etc. 14 yrs later moved it all to next RV, and that hose is just as soft and pliable as new.
Truth known, "propane hose" is nothing but cheap junk !
Even the cheap clear vinyl hose from any hardware store is better for LP propane than the cheap hi $ propane junk. And don't ask me how I know that to be fact !"- Just thought i'd add this.

Dunno. I do use my TT a LOT, and go thru a lot of propane. And the high tempertures in Phoenix AZ during the summer is probably a factor as well.
never had to replace any propane hoses, can't think of why anyone would be considering changing these hoses.
can't wonder why someone like huntindog would have to change his hoses frequently???? interesting.

Yes, if no failure, you are talking about under one PSI. But, that is NOT what safety dictates.

"Regarding your fire claim - we found evidence your vehicle had improper LPG hoses not certified for LPG. Here's my card. On the rear you'll find the definition for the three letter abbreviation: S.O.L." - never had to replace any propane hoses, can't think of why anyone would be considering changing these hoses.

The hose itself is not much more expensive than a regular propane rubber hose. I'm tired of the rubber turning into a metal like substance. Think I will go ahead and get two of these. I would take Chris Bryant's opinion over others. IMHO, there is NO way a plain plastic hose will tolerate any amount of pressure. To prove my point, take a look at your water pump hose on your rig. Don't look like plain ole plastic to me. It's webbed to withstand a lousy 40 psi or better. Plus can y'all imagine what water taste like coming out of a 10 year old black rubber fuel hose ??????
