Just as I'm finishing packing to drive to FLA I opened the main valve on my permanently mounted propane tank to check the furnace. Gas started coming out of the valve handle! That never happened bef...

Thanks Chris for that info. I will do that from now on. Do you think I'm OK to use it?
It will be tricky for that valve to be replaced as the tank is mounted under the van.
Still thinking I can leave for FLA when the snow quits. Maybe sneak out tomorrow morning before it snows again tomorrow night.
