I plumbed 2 Olycat heaters in my motorhome using brass barbed fittings, and all 1/4" clear vinyl hose from our local hardware store, w/ the small fuel line clamps. Talk about an easy job, no question. Yep, I did my research, its all legal and working fine for 2 yrs now.
