So the gasfitter must have thought this fitting is meant for transferring propane from one tank to another? I thought these are just for when your 20/30 lb main tanks run empty and you can adapt a 1 lb. disposable tank so you can save your steak(s). I would assume there'd be a check valve in it that would prevent a big tank from filling a 1 pounder?
But, I just found some youtube vids showing how to refill a 1 lb. tank using a Mr. Heater adapter like this one:

this one. The vids show using a different Mr. Heater fitting though, a # F276172. The 2nd vid shows a fitting you can buy specifically refilling 1 lb tanks. Do people really do this??
