My propane tank is very low and I cant get to a propane station for a while. Is there a way to connect a portable tank to the RV system?

Depending on how it is plumbed, it can be easy. *If* you have enough flexible rubber line on the output of the regulator, you can just unscrew the regulator (left handed threads) and screw it in to the portable cylinder- new cylinders will still accept the old POL fittings..
