Do you need a fuse between the battery and the panel?
I use the pair of 40A reverse polarity fuses as my main fuses, then have a 150A ANL fuse for my inverter.
Unless you expect one battery to blow a fuse and want to keep the other 2 working I would just use the reverse polarity fuses and wire it accordingly. Then everything off the battery switch will be fused. (Inverter with a big ANL, and DC distro with reverse polarity and smaller individual circuit fuses).
As it's been stated the simplest buss point for the - is the shunt, and the battery switch for the +, just be sure the battery switch is a decent one and not a small push-pull.
