Our trailer has fuses all over the place :)
The two 30a reverse polarity fuses on the DC panel under the fridge in the middle of the trailer by the converter cannot act as the protection for the long wire inside the trailer walls and ceiling on its way from the battery up front to the DC panel battery lugs. That wire needs a fuse up by the battery, usual rule is within 18" and for the unprotected wire from that fuse to the battery be visible.
