The WN 30 amp solar controller is the same as the Solar30 and several others, and is fine for the battery charging job using solar.
A few years ago there was an idea to run a pulse gizmo at the same time as doing battery charging ( ISTR Mr Wizard tried that for a while) and also there was/is the same thing for "reconditioning" or "desulfating" batteries as an alternative to high DC voltage desulfation as when "equalizing" The idea was to just run the pulse gizmo all the time, since it was not itself a battery charger.
(There are pulse type battery chargers but that is a totally different animal)
I suspect this pulse gizmo is one of those conditioners, and is not needed. The solar controller operates on its own and will do its job without the gizmo if that is so.
