If you are researching, check out TPO roofing. Be aware that it comes in multiple thicknesses. You want at least 60 mil. TPO is "heat welded"/bonded at all seams.
Both PVC and TPO have a longer life than EPDM. Most experts will tell you that the maximum life of an EPDM roof is about 10 years, but often as little as 5 years. It should be replaced, not just re-coated.
