As meant as a note of pure curiosity....
A colony of off-grid homes decided for one reason or another to go with the Trace C-40 model controller (a high percentage - not every single home)
I sat in on a coffee chat session that had a half-dozen homeowners discussing the C-40.
It seemed that the controllers that were selected for load diversion voltage control were living longer (and popping fewer fuses) than controllers that regulated by on-off. I found this to be curious.
