Question about Transfer Switches
I am wiring up a cam switch in my generator compartment so I can plug one leg into the pedestal and run my 2d AC while I am using hook-ups. But now I'm thinking about the transfer switch in the coach...

If your generator has two circuit breakers for the AC power, then you can break out the circuit that feeds one of the A/C's, running the generator side to a new duplex outlet and the load side to a 20 amp plug. In normal use, the plugs goes in the outlet. To power the A/C from a separate source, connect the plug to a heavy duty extension cord plugged into the site's 20 amp outlet.
