And, the LRA of a 120V frig and a 5K BTU AC can't be handled by a 1000W inverter, either in sequence or simultaneously. A 1000W inverter will handle a small compressor fridge (I do it). If you can split the loads, you may be able to run the fridge and start the A/C. It will depend on the LRA of the A/C compressor.
