Question, Exhaust fluid, Duramax,Repair shop

About 2 Mo. 1,500 Miles out of warranty the first time I have been to shop 3 times. Would EPA or anyone make the company cover this? I have paid over 1,000 Dollars, now in for #3 now. Less then 40,000 miles at this time. Thanks, Paul

Errow Code will shut down, limit speed. progress down to 4mph. Replaced at least one sensor on the 1,000+ bill. I think they burned $40.00 fuel on what someone talled regenerate. I do not know how it works.

YES! I did post in the WRONG place!!! Sorry I mixed you-all up! LOL!!

Perhaps some Duramax forum site would give you more info..

Paul, you really need to let us know the whole story....we have no idea what you are talking about. Please be a little more specific.

P.S. I found the following post from Paul in another post that had no connection to that post at all.

Makes a little more sense of this posting, but he still doesn't say what the problem is other than it's related to DEF. Hopefully, he will come back here and give us some more info.

I also see no issue here. The OP's statement simply makes no sense. I get that he has a problem of some sort, but what that problem might be I have no way of knowing. I'd love to be able to offer help and/or advice.

Did the OP pay $1,000 for . . . what? DEF refill? He was overcharged. A blown engine? Boy, did he get a deal. Something in between? there are no clues.

Read your emission warranty, usually 5 years or 100,000 miles.

I thought that the emission control system was warranted even longer than 5yr/50k.

' Specified major emission control components are covered for the first 8 years or 80,000
miles of vehicle use (whichever first occurs)'

Not sure if this applies to you but you could look into it.
