For agm an amp-hour counter becomes essential because there is no way to check specific gravity.
BTW you shocked me by talking about that evil metrology call "watts". Next thing you know you will be advocating permanent flat solar panel installs. (is there an AA group for that?)
I'm seriously considering a trip to USA to get lower cost AGM jars. The prices in Canada are insanely high every where I have looked.
AGM's are not quite as easily sulfated, but once they are undoing it is a real tight wire balancing act.
