My typo, sorry. 2.4*6*4=57.6V, not 56V.
Many controllers, even those expensive, consider a remote temp sensor optional. Without it, it "thinks" that the battery is always at 25C, so you have to indeed tweak the setpoints higher, in winter. This can be a problem in places down South in desert where it's freezing in the morning and then 25C/77F in daytime.
Brief description of Outback 80 says "Temperature compensation - Automatic with optional RTS installed". So - yes, you might need to order that optional RTS.
