This is a typical RV 50A -30A pedestal wiring from google search...

You should follow these 50a and 30A test procedures to the letter before plugging in the RV shore Power Cabling...
RV 50A SERVICE

RV30A/20A SERVICE (Note the 30A and 20A SERVICE is wired the same except one leg has a 30AMP breaker and the other leg has a 20AMP breaker.

I would think it would be best to use a BONDED licensed electrician that will get your required permits and inspections. BONDED means he will have insurance for loss of appliances due to miswiring. Using your electrician friends and family members will cost you big time if their results causes loss of appliances... It could cost thousands of dollars replacing big ticket items...
