Questions about repairing Carefree slide topper

I have read several posts on the stitching going bad. Seems like there was a bad batch of thread out there for a period of time. Seeing that the stitching was going in our toppers I pinned all four and removed the rollers laying them on the roof then slid the toppers out of the roller and roof grooves. I then took them to a tent and awning shop who resewed them for a very reasonable cost. Assembled in reverse order.
