x2 on the heated mattress pad. Best cold weather investment I ever made. Turn furnace down as low as it will go to keep things from freezing, and then crank it up in the morning to take the chill off. Heated mattress pad will keep you warm, furnace keeps TT from freezing.
On a side note, I found a leaking pigtail hose on my new (at the time) TT, and was also wondering why I used up so much propane. Replaced pigtails and no more prematurely empty tanks.
